Heading to Exumas at end of week and want to make sure I'm able to empty holding tanks en route. I have the Y valves set to go overboard, but my gauge on one says that it's full. Is there anything else I need to do besides open the Y valve? Does the macerator switch have to be on? Does the macerator switch stay on or just when emptying tanks? There isn't a sound when I flip the macerator switch so that was confusing.
