Come Sailing This Summer
TONE has confirmed that we will be sponsoring three on-the-water events this summer. We are planning regional gatherings arranged so that members from New York and Southern New England will have an easy sail to at least one of the events. The focus is on casual meet-ups with a nice dinner one night during each event and a chance for members to informally meet and greet. We are hoping that groups of members will join up prior to the events and convoy to the locations, extending the opportunity for sailing camaraderie as well as social fellowship.
The three events are:
June 27 & 28 at Mitchell Park and Marina in Greenport, NY
July 13 & 14 at East Greenwich Prime Marina in East Greenwich, RI
July 19 & 20 in Edgartown Harbor, Martha's Vineyard, MA

The 2019 TONE Winter Dinner - Fun for All
The 2019 TONE Winter Dinner took place February 16th at the Winthrop Yacht Club in Winthrop, MA (just across the harbor from Boston.) The doors opened at 6:00 PM and the main hall at the club soon resounded with the excited chatter of TONE members reconnecting after absences that varied from a few months (folks that were on the maine Cruise) to years.
The catered buffet dinner started off with hors d'oeuvres and the delicious buffet started at 7:00. Nearly 50 TONE members and new recruits sat down to a wonderful meal to augment their social time. During dessert noted adventure sailor Brian Hancock delivered a great remembrance of a sailing life well lived.
Important announcements included the introduction of three new TONE Board members and the news that Vice President Peter Crawford will be placed into nomination this summer for election as TONE's new president.
This year's Winter Dinner marked the tenth anniversary of the event and was held back at the Winthrop Yacht Club where it all started in 2009. The event has become an anticipated opportunity to break free of the cold seasonal chains and think about both sailing and our dear sailing friends. It didn't disappoint.
